Community Scores

Community scores operate on a 1–5 scale, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. All results are based on statistics from MLS®, the City of Edmonton Open Data Catalogue, and other sources.

A high Homes score means you’ll find a lot of available real estate listings in that neighbourhood.
A high Family score means you’ll be close to schools and playgrounds, and everything is within walking and transit distance.
A high Safety score means bylaw violations and traffic accident rates are low, and you’ll be close to emergency services.
A high Recreation score means you’ll be close to sports and recreation areas.
A high Lifestyle score means you’ll be close to shopping and entertainment.

The Holyrood neighborhood is bound on four sides by major roadways which clearly defines the community and allows residents good access to other parts of the city. Its tree lined interior streets are arranged in a modified grid pattern and incorporate several landscaped street islands. Most streets carry only local traffic and the dominant housing structure is single family detached houses.  Holyrood School and Holyrood Community League Hall are located in the centre of the neighbourhood. Bonnie Doon Mall, a regional shopping centre, is just southwest of the neighbourhood.  Edmonton Northlands and Rexall Place are other amenities just north of Holyrood via the Wayne Gretzky Drive, as well as easy access to the rest of the city via Connors Road and 98th Avenue.  Walking and bike baths are easily accessible as well through nearby Strathearn and Forest Heights neighborhoods.

The expansion of Edmonton’s LRT Valley Line is expected to have a Holyrood Station that will further enhance access to all parts of the City of Edmonton.  The Holyrood Community League and its’ hall located at 9411 Holyrood Rd hosts sports and recreation activities such as hockey, skating, yoga, parent and tot play group, swimming and fitness classes.
